Untitled Poem

Caution: Some of the poetry might be graphic, so kids, if you're caught reading this, you're mom's gonna whoop your ass...

************************************************************************************

He saw her late that night,
Coming out of the Opera,
Dressed in shimmering white,
And her glistening silver tiara.

His face slathered with spite,
Clouding in the grey,
In the rain from last night,
That forgot to fade away.

Devoured by his steely eyes,
From his dark secret perch,
A large trenchcoat covering lies,
A sinister angel in the lurch.

Crouching at momentary lapse,
Menacing steps and sweaty palms.
She looks to him and gasps!
And falls right into his arms.

They slink to a deep dark alley,
To do deep dark deeds,
She knows not her folly,
As she slowly bleeds.

Etiquette thrown unawares,
Gyrating without a pause,
A splatter of brown wet mud,
On her white dress that was.

His breath upon her skin warm,
Like fire against wind and water,
They made love through the storm,
She was the lamb led to the slaughter.

A final war cry of passion,
Clenched fingers clawing the skin,
It was over, it was done.
Her blood dribbled down his chin.

She lay on the wet ground,
Lifeless, not a moment too soon,
Mouth wide open without a sound,
Her face as pale as the moon.

He arose,
His skin frighteningly fair,
The streetlights flickered
In the deathly cold air...
Whistling without a tune,
The air he kissed.
He was soon nothing
But a silhouette in the mist...

this is real good writing..love the image of the mysterious man more actually..hmmm his persuasive nature almost makes him endearing to me..lol. neway great choice of words and yet again appropiate picture.i love the line "..a sinister angel in the lurch." and "His breath upon her skin warm,
Like fire against wind and water,"
creates a vivid picture with such simplicity.

@ Sowmiya - Puhleez!! Your poetry inferring skills need to improve... Coz nowhere in the poem do I signify that I'm pining away for womanly companionship!
However, the poem is NOT bout 'mysterious her'.. It's bout evil HIM!
I'd suggest you not compare Joe's lines of wisdom (that pine for love 24x7) with mine.. :P

@ Joe - Errmm.. To put it in a crass way, it's just one of those horrid things women suffer from.. About men who sin & walk free full of glee.. (Jeez! I didn't mean THAT to rhyme.. Lol)
But to sum it all up, it relates to the kind of men there are in the world... It's not 'rape' exactly coz she consents to it, but he kills her in the end.. In short, he's filth & she's the innocent victim..
& NO! Although Sow might not exactly be 'straight', I think you're under a potential risk of committing suicide if you let her pick your girl!!

@ Supriya - Yes... & you'll play the part perfectly if you were a guy! Lol..
& oh! Mighty thanks!! I shall one day look down from the stars & beckon your pitiful existence when I pass out of IIM...
You aren't the ONLY sarcastic one around here.. So sshh!!

@ rini - Thanks!! & sure! I'll set you two up on a date.. Lol.. You'd swoon anyway.. Him being the charmer he is! Haha..
Yeah.. The words just seemed to flow from the semi-conscious mind.. I was half asleep when I wrote it.. Lol..

& anki - Thanks! Will try something like this more often..
